To take the lead in developing new business opportunities for inclusion in delivering our strategy target of new supply of mixed tenure quality homes for the Group and its customers, with the target of 300 new homes per annum. Leading on the appraisal and assessment of schemes through to Board approval.
Leading on a consistent pipeline and delivery of financially viable development opportunities, from inception through to practical completion, defects liability period and undertaking post scheme reviews. To establish the Group as a key residential developer across the North West and to provide an innovative approach in continuously seeking new development and funding ideas.
Key role priorities
This role is responsible for leading and managing the performance and delivery of the Development Programme, from inception through to end of defect liability period, including complex strategic and regeneration schemes.
The holder is required to lead on the appraisal and assessment of schemes through to Board approval.
The role also involves acquisition of land and existing buildings, leading on the delivery of schemes and undertaking post scheme reviews.
The holder is required to provide an innovative approach in continuously seeking new development ideas, to create and manage a consistent pipeline of financially viable development opportunities for the Group and to deliver the Livv Homes brand objectives to establish the Group as a key residential developer across the North West.
Key working relationships
To actively build relationships locally and regionally to promote the brand reputation and effectively horizon scan, to ensure best practice
To develop and maintain relationships with external partners and other agencies involved in development activities to seek new business.
To liaise with internal and external partners, and other agencies, to ensure the delivery of high quality scheme design which meets all funding, regulatory and statutory requirements, and reflects the needs of both internal and external clients.
Key measures of success
Development Strategy is delivered successfully – delivering the required number of homes and tenure.
New range of products rent to buy, and sales led schemes are effectively delivered and successful.
Procedures and financial monitoring of schemes are improved, leading to effective budget management and financial viability of Development.
The Group delivers a wider range of new home products to an increasing number of customers and the Livv Homes brand is known throughout the North West as a model of excellence.
